1. A quirky summer venue in Manchester: GRUB
Manchester
GRUB is a gloriously characterful two-floor, three-bar event space in Manchester's Green Quarter (within walking distance of Victoria Station). The multifaceted venue packs a lot of punch: street food vendors clamber above a basement bar, whilst a 108-seater cinema screen adds a little something special.
The real draw, though, is the outdoor garden. It's a hodgepodge mix of covered seating, bright artwork and enough bunting to satisfy a Boomer. At night the space comes alive with fairy lighting and a buzzing atmosphere. 200 guests can fit into the space, making use of the dedicated bar, which can be restocked to spec. That means frozen margaritas and Aperol Spritz. Who wouldn't want that?
