The New London’s flexible auditorium was originally intended for use as a conference centre and multi-use venue and the original moveable proscenium panels were fully restored after the closure of Cats in 2001.

With completely new seating the modern auditorium is practical and comfortable. There are 1,071 seats across 2 levels  - Stalls and Dress Circle.

This space is ideal for conferences and training days.

With the refurbishment completed in May 2013, it is the newest and most luxurious setting in any West End Theatre. Centrally located in the heart of London’s ‘Theatreland’ it is the perfect venue for anything from conferences, auditions, showcases and film shoots to dinners, receptions and even wedding ceremonies. Fully licensed and equipped with a kitchen, this space can cater for almost any event.

With this space comes an accompanying terrace and also a separate room suitable for a lovely breakout space. Please see the photo's to understand this.

Suitable for more intimate meetings and training sessions the Novello Room is named after Ivor Novello the matinee idol and composer who saved the fortunes of Theatre Royal Drury Lane in the 1930s by writing and starring in a string of  musical hits beginning with Glamorous Night in 1935.

The room is decorated with posters and period photographs from the productions which also included Careless Rapture (1936), Crest of the Wave (1937), The Dancing Years (1939) and Shakespeare's Henry V (1938).

It's a Battlefield

When the great Herbert Beerbohm Tree built Her Majesty's theatre he designed the space under the copper dome as his personal residence and work space. The rear section was furnished as a comfortable flat to escape the pressures of actor-management whilst the larger space under the dome was perfect for entertaining post-show guests and for holding meetings and rehearsals.

It was here that Tree began the drama training for young actors which eventually grew into today's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
