The 20th Century Theatre is a beautiful Grade 2 listed English Heritage Building in the heart of vibrant Notting Hill with a rich connection to some of the most prominent musicians, authors, actors, playwrights and culture of the 20th Century.
Built circa 1860, the 20th Century Theatre has hosted memorable performances by Laurence Olivier, Margaret Rutherford, Rex Harrison, Marie Lloyd, Sir Henry Irving and many more. For twenty years it was the headquarters for Rudolph Steiner who introduced Eurythmy to England on it’s stage. After that it became the London Opera School and a venue for professional and amateur theatre repertory groups.
The stage has also played host to readings by Charles Dickens and seen performances by many of this centuries great actors and musicians.
