The American Bar is an event space located at the London Coliseum. The London Coliseum was designed by Frank Matcham in the early 20th Century with the ambition of being the largest and finest “people’s palace of entertainment”. As a charity our mission is to change lives through opera, from free tickets for under 21s, to work with schools and community hubs, to working with the NHS to help patients suffering from Long Covid.
Next to Trafalgar Square, we are ideally located for corporate and private events in the heart of London’s West End.
At the heart of the theatre, tucked away from the bustling crowds, you’ll find the American Bar, named for the American Friends of ENO.
Just steps away from the Stalls, our warmly lit restaurant features original Edwardian oak panelling, antique mirrors and a private bar, making it a flexible space for larger special occasions.
Our restaurant is perfect for informal cocktail receptions, with a speakeasy feel. We can even close off half of the restaurant to create a private dining space for up to 22 guests.
Using the very best locally sourced produce, fresh produce, Chef crafts inspiring seasonal menus with a small plate concept, paired with a world-class wine selection.
Whether you are planning a special celebration, an informal reception or a daytime event, we are an agile team able to meet truly bespoke finish.
Our small, dedicated team are on hand to help run your event for you, giving you more time to enjoy yourself and less time on logistics, all while in the knowledge you are supporting our charitable works.
