About Us Sublime Recording Studio can be the centre of your creative universe. Cozy, clean, spacious, and well equipped, offering two live rooms and a large control room, well capable of recording a whole band in one take or a single artist who prefers working track-by-track. We have a unique approach to nurturing creativity and helping artists realise their potential in an open, welcoming atmosphere.
Gear Highlights
We feature ProTools HD3, but can work with sessions in Logic, Reason, Ableton Live, as well as all other major DAW formats, with pretty much every plug-in made, including soft-synths. And from the DAW, we run into our 64-input TLA VTC all Neumann Valve console, monitoring via Focal Twin 6be, Yamaha NS10, Tannoy 5.2, and Bose Companion II.
Going in, we have two pianos (Steinway and Lichtenstein), Rhodes Mark I, a wide selection of analogue classic synths (Roland, Korg, Oberheim), guitars, basses, and a great amp collection. Several classic custom-made mics with an enviable collection of mic preamps from the 50s, 60s, 70s, as well as modern times.
The situation
Located in a Grade II listed hitorical crescent, Sublime offers two large live rooms, capable of multiple lines, meaning we can mic everything and still be able to send up to four headphone mixes to each room.
Each room is custom shaped and sound treated for the absolute best acoustics, whether you want a tight-and-dry or roomy-and-live sound. The rooms are "floated" so no sound gets out or in, except via microphones. Natural daylight floods each room, but the outside world can be completely blocked out if desired. Plus, we have a loo that sounds great for guitar amps and percussion!
