Through a pawn shop entrance and up a grand, circular staircase and you find Beauty & Essex, a vibrant party space in the Lower East Side. It’s grand but intimate with dim lighting and plush leather seating. They have a regular and vegan menu for dinner and interesting cocktails, like a double dirty chai martini and The Elvis with peanut butter bourbon and banana liqueur.

Right off Delancey Street is The DL, a lively party space with luxe decor spanning three floors. They have some bites and wickedly crafted cocktails with wild names like That’s What She Said and Paris Is Burning. The main attraction is the retractable rooftop. This South Beach, Miami-inspired space is decorated with plants and neon lights and has standout views of the Lower East Side skyline.
