1. An experience to rave about: The Cross

King's Cross, London

The Cross is a multifaceted venue for entertainment, food and events. It’s located down the street from King’s Cross station, five minutes from its original spot in the ‘90s that was known for its infamous raves. The Cross traded its wild lifestyle of the past in favour of a six-storey house with a restaurant, club, cocktail lounge, and roof terrace with 360-degree views of London’s skyline.

The first-floor restaurant and lounge are available for exclusive private dining from Friday to Sunday and have a capacity of 50 seated and 100 standing. Complete with beautiful chandeliers, exposed brick walls and floor-to-ceiling French windows, the space feels relaxed and elegant.

The Cross has several spaces available for exclusive private hire including the Red Room and the Roof Terrace. The Red Room on the third floor is an intimate, dimly-lit space that evokes a moody cocktail lounge, and has a capacity of 20 seated. The Roof Terrace, with a capacity of 30 seated and 70 standing, is the jewel in the crown with its panoramic views of London.

2. A piece of railway history: The Carriage at the Great Northern Hotel

King's Cross, London

The Great Northern Hotel has been in the heart of King’s Cross for almost 170 years. It’s a Grade II listed building and the oldest railway hotel in London. Despite all the years that have passed, the hotel still has that elegant charm and detailing from when it was originally built—but now with a contemporary touch to it.

The Carriage, located on the first floor of the hotel, with a capacity of 16 seated and 30 standing, is one of several spaces available for private dining. It’s an intimate room with dark green walls and blue-accented furniture. There are also two Lounge rooms opposite The Carriage which can be hired for larger events.

This King’s Cross private dining experience offers modern British classics with subtle French accents in honour of its proximity to the Eurostar and comes complete with an extensive wine list that even a Parisian would approve of.

3. A taste of the Mediterranean in King’s Cross: Vinoteca

King's Cross, London

With almost 200 wines on its ever-changing menu, Vinoteca near King’s Cross station draws inspiration from the wine bars in Spain and Italy—nothing like a little vino to feel inspired. The floor-to-ceiling windows and industrial-style lighting give the space a modern touch, setting it apart from other wine bars.

The mezzanine is available for private dining and wine tastings for up to 35 guests. The space comes with a long wooden table to make the experience feel cosy, and the expansive windows allow for a lot of natural light.

A King’s Cross private dining experience for wine lovers, we don’t think anybody would object to a private party at a wine bar. Did somebody say Scottish mussels and white wine?

4. Europe’s longest champagne bar: St Pancras Brasserie and Champagne Bar by Searcys

King's Cross, London

Searcys is located on the upper concourse of St Pancras International and has stunning views overlooking the station’s unique architecture. It’s also home to Europe’s longest champagne bar which is quite an accomplishment at 98 metres long.

Inside the main brasserie, the Glass Room is available for semi-private dining hire. It's an ideal location for smaller celebrations for around 20 to 30 people. The room has a thick curtain separating it from the main dining area and the gold-coloured touches and furnishings give the room that elaborate feel we want from a fancy champagne bar.

Indulge in modern British cuisine, champagne and caviar, and when everybody has celebrated enough, well, there’s no shortage of trains for the journey home.

5. The ever-trendy modern meets industrial event space: Drake & Morgan

King's Cross, London

Right across from King’s Cross station, Drake & Morgan is a bar and restaurant with a warm, relaxed ambience within an industrial setting of wood floors, high ceilings, and unique light fixtures.

Drake & Morgan’s private dining room is nestled in its basement bar and is great for cosy events. The room has a wall of mirrors and can seat up to 45 people. The basement bar and upstairs restaurant can also be hired with a total capacity of 300 people.

This King’s Cross private dining hire features a seasonal menu with an emphasis on grilled dishes and a love of cocktails—menus we can get on board for.

6. The vibes of a NYC loft: Hicce

King's Cross, London

Hicce—pronounced ‘ee-chay’—means ‘of the moment’ in Latin, and this King’s Cross restaurant definitely lives up to its name. It’s owned by two long-time friends who had a dream of opening a place of their own. The restaurant is quite simple on the inside with exposed brick, wood chairs, and an industrial ceiling with exposed air ducts and artful lights.

For private dining, Hicce has a private dining room located underneath the main restaurant that can accommodate between 12 to 22 people. With shelves of books and artwork on display, it very much gives the vibes of an art museum gift shop—but that just adds to the atmosphere.

The minimalist decor follows through to the menu which focuses on small sharable plates cooked over an open fire. Minimal menu it may be, it’s packed with flavour and there’s a dish for everybody. From the decor to the food, this is a casual and rustic King’s Cross private dining spot.

7. Three storeys and a spectacular view on every level: The Lighterman

King's Cross, London

The Lighterman overlooks Regent’s Canal and Granary Square, the heart of King’s Cross. It’s a contemporary gastropub complete with the requisite seasonal high-quality menu of British classics. Inside, it has a modern and elegant interior with subtle touches of industrial.

It certainly is not your average restaurant, with three floors, a wrap-around terrace and a bar, it's quite a big establishment with multiple spaces available for private hire.

You can have your event overlooking Regent’s Canal at the indoor portion of the canalside bar. It's great for events of up to 32 seated and 40 standing. But if you need more space and the weather is nice, consider booking the entire canalside bar and terrace for a capacity of 60 seated and 100 standing guests.

8. A slice of nature in central London: Camley Street Natural Park

King's Cross, London

Camley Street Natural Park is not your typical venue for King’s Cross private dining. After all, it's a two-acre urban nature reserve that is surrounded by the bustling part of central London between King's Cross and St Pancras—but that’s what sets it apart from other private dining venues.

The Kingfisher Suite is a light and airy space that overlooks Regent’s Canal and the nature reserve. With a capacity of 60 seated guests and 120 standing, it's great for hosting seated dinners or receptions. For more room, consider The Canopy, which is surrounded by a wildflower butterfly bank. It has a capacity of 120 for a banquet and 150 standing.

The Camley Street Natural Park will have your guests forgetting they are still in central London. Plus, the profits raised from private hires go towards helping protect London’s wildlife. So, it's a win-win.

9. No horses involved: Riding House Bloomsbury

King's Cross, London

The Riding House Bloomsbury is a restaurant and bar a short walk from King’s Cross station. Its interior is very rustic and industrial with exposed air ducts, wood floorings, an abundance of hanging plants, and an equally rustic and seasonal menu to match.

The Courtyard private dining room is located at the back end of the restaurant and can hold about 12 people seated. It's a quaint little room that is great for private lunches or dinners. For a larger event, consider the Stage, a raised semi-private area at the back of the restaurant that can host 30 guests seated.
