Nestled beneath Covent Garden’s bustling Piazza is the ever-so-chic cocktail bar Cache Cache.

Billed as a ‘modern-day speakeasy’, the bar turns the city’s affinity for gritty underground haunts on its head with its slinky interiors, artfully placed neon lights and plants that set the tone for the evening (and well, night).

Serving up classic and custom cocktails like their Mary Pickford (pineapple rum, pineapple juice, strawberry and vanilla), Sidecar (ginger caramel-infused cognac, dry Curaçao, lemon juice and agave syrup) and their Princess Cache (butterfly-infused gin, liqueur, pineapple juice and lemon juice), it’s a welcome addition to the WC2 party scene.

Plus, there’s room for up to 100 standing guests so more than enough room for the guest list of your dreams.

Stacks of books. Rolls of maps. Deer heads. Mounted clocks. The odd globe. Housed in what looks like the home of a seasoned explorer (or professor) is Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration. One of many from the fictional explorer, their Covent Garden branch (alongside the Tavern and Gin Parlour) transports partygoers to another, perhaps idealised, period of time.

For private hire of the entire venue, the space invites up to 200 guests for festivities of any kind. While there, expect a transport-focused drinks menu, much like the decor, that’ll take partygoers across the channel (with rum-based Havana Nights) to the Amazon (with the fruity Pacahuti Piranha). Bon voyage!

A few doors down from Seven Dials Market is the popular Covent Garden bar, The Escapologist. Self-described as ‘London’s most intriguing bar’, the Earlham Street venue comes with as much colour as it does confidence – which is what you’d hope to see from a party space.

Take in the neon lights, patterned wallpaper and atmospheric spaces that each have their own style. With space for up to 190 guests and five bar stations, big parties are more than welcome but singular private spaces like their 80-person vault area are also up for grabs.

After turning the page on one of their book-like menus, you’ll find drinks of the sugary sweet and festive variety. For a drink to start your night, consider General Manager Liam’s picks - Hot AF (chilli-infused tequila, triple sec, agave, jalapeño, pineapple, lime and tabasco) and Coco-Loco (coconut rum, cinnamon whisky, pineapple, lime and bitters).

Public houses are made for more than just after-work drinks and Sunday roasts – and no one knows this more than this Covent Garden pub. For a somewhat casual and intimate dinner party, head to Bow Street Tavern.

As expected, the very green and leafy pub can be found at, you guessed it, Bow Street. Across five floors and five spaces, expect a fair share of modern, colourful and cosy rooms.

Take their Inspector’s Room, the 18-person navy blue room decked out in old photographs, typewriters, board games and a turntable.

With ample light, a centre dining table and a menu that caters to vegetarian and plant-based palates (and everything in between), dinner is well and truly served.

Head to Covent Garden’s Mercer Walk for a feast fit for a party. Temper’s WC2 outpost promises guests a barbecue experience to remember.

Featuring two floors - an open kitchen, terrace space and a private dining area (for up to 22 guests) below ground, there’s room for parties of the indoor, outdoor and private kinds.

With signature cocktails, wines, a Mexican fusion menu and the star of the show, their British-aged beef (which is butchered in-house), foodies can find a home here.
